ABOUT THE PROJECT
Current early detection and gynaecological follow-up strategies are not effective. Our group has identified a potential cancer progression biomarker in apparently normal endometrium. We aim to validate the clinical utility of this assay in endometrial aspirates and minimally invasive samples in a national multicentric cohort of women with Lynch syndrome under surveillance. We are also conducting a comprehensive molecular characterization using NGS-based genomic approaches. Our final goal is the implementation of more personalised and effective surveillance and prevention strategies.
